Operating every year since its inception, the club has grown to become the largest and longest running Rugby League Supporters Club in Australia with members of all ages and ethnic background.
Whilst based in Queensland, membership is open to individuals regardless of where they live. The club has members from interstate and overseas, which is testimony to the high quality of service it provides to its members. If you are a passionate Red V supporter, then this is the club you should join. Click here for more information.
The Club was founded in 1987 by Gregory Nunn, and at the very first meeting of the club at the Orient Hotel in Brisbane on December 16 1987, twelve members signed up as Foundation Members to form the St. George Supporters Club of Queensland.
Following the amalgamation of the St. George Dragons and the Illawarra Steelers in 1999, the club changed its name to the St. George – Illawarra Supporters Club of Queensland.
Celebrating its 25th year in 2012, the Club became incorporated in Queensland and from 2013 has been known as the Dragons Supporters Club Qld Inc.
We call this our meaningful difference and it’s the power and drive behind everything we do.
The Dragons Supporters Club Qld is established with the aims and objectives of:
providing members with an avenue through which they can express their support of St George Illawarra Rugby League Football Club;
providing members with social opportunities to meet in a communal and convivial atmosphere, in order that they form and maintain life-long friendships with others of similar values;
promoting values of support and sportsmanship for all members, especially younger members;
promoting family values;

an opinion and enjoy the discussion that follows, extremely well administered
"I used to be in many
dragons fan club in the past but left due to the behaviour of some of our so
called fans, the language they would use it was cruel and nasty no need for it.
I’m glad this group doesn’t tolerate this behaviour."
